Polydeoxyribonucleotide and Shock Wave Therapy Sequence Efficacy in Regenerating Immobilized Rabbit Calf Muscles

چکیده
This study primarily aimed to investigate the combined effects of polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) and extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) sequences on regenerative processes in atrophied animal muscles. Thirty male New Zealand rabbits, aged 12 weeks, were divided into five groups: normal saline (Group 1), PDRN 2), ESWT 3), injection before 4), after 5). After 2 weeks cast immobilization, respective treatments administered calf Radial was performed twice weekly. Calf circumference, tibial nerve compound muscle action potential (CMAP), gastrocnemius (GCM) thickness treatment evaluated. Histological immunohistochemical staining, as well Western blot analysis, conducted post-treatment. Staining intensity extent assessed using semi-quantitative scores. Groups 4 5 demonstrated significantly greater GCM thickness, CMAP, fiber cross-sectional area (type I, type II, total) than remaining three groups (p < 0.05), while they did not differ these parameters. 3 showed higher values for all mentioned parameters Group 1 0.05). had greatest ratio vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) platelet cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1) fibers compared other four analysis revealed expression angiogenesis cytokines The combination superior efficacy tissue rabbit models techniques alone or saline. In particular, administering yielded most favorable outcomes specific

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy
When extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) was administered to the equine metacarpus/ metatarsus, there was subperiosteal and subendosteal hemorrhage, but no microfractures were detected. No damage to the surrounding soft tissues was detected. The principle of ESWT and the acute effects of ESWT on equine bone and soft tissue are explained. In the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), the application of shock waves to trigger points is a new therapy method with a precise effect. Especially focused shock waves enable reliable trigger point diagnosis by the induction of referred pain. These are the findings of Dr Danilo Jankovic, Head of the DGS Regional Pain Centre in Hürth/Cologne, Germany. line about one finger wid...
متن کاملFractionated Repetitive Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy: A New Standard in Shock Wave Therapy?
BACKGROUND ESWT has proven clinical benefit in dermatology and plastic surgery. It promotes wound healing and improves tissue regeneration, connective tissue disorders, and inflammatory skin diseases. However, a single treatment session or long intervals between sessions may reduce the therapeutic effect. The present study investigated the effects of fractionated repetitive treatment in skin mi...
متن کاملPrinciples of shock wave therapy.
A shock wave is a transient pressure disturbance that propagates rapidly in three-dimensional space. It is associated with a sudden rise from ambient pressure to its maximum pressure. A significant tissue effect is cavitation consequent to the negative phase of the wave propagation. The current authors summarize the basic physics of shock waves and the physical parameters involved in assessing ...
